The 5 steps to set up success

  1. Prepare your parts list for upload

  2. Import your files to PartsPal

  3. Add fitment data to your catalog

  4. Integrate your Shopify store

  5. Publish your products to Shopify

Take 10-20 minutes on each step a day to get set up in a week, or be an overachiever and knock through all of them in a couple of hours.


Step 1: Prepare your products for upload

The fastest way to upload your parts list is by uploading a CSV to PartsPal.

You can download and view a sample product CSV file to use as a template. The first line of your product CSV file must be the column headers in the template file provided.

The minimum requirement for your parts list are SKU, Part Number, Brand, Price.

Step 2: Upload your parts list to PartsPal

Once your parts list is ready, you can upload it through PartsPal's File Upload Manager.

Select the "Upload" tab, select "Product" as your import type and "PartsPalProducts" as your transformer type.

Step 3: Add fitment data to your catalog

Fitment data, also known as parts or vehicle compatibility is the foundation of your parts catalog. PartsPal allows you to add and manage fitment data in the Partly Standard.

There are 4 methods to add fitment data to your parts. These are in increasing orders of difficulty.

  1. Accessing fitment data from Partly Database

  2. Cloning fitment data from equivalent parts

  3. Adding fitment data manually yourself

  4. Data Acquisition service by Partly (by brand)

Step 4: Integrate your Shopify store

PartsPal has an advanced integration with Shopify, so get in touch with our team if you need further explanation or support.

Our Shopify Integration allow you to publish your parts catalog to your Shopify Inventory, and has custom-built snippets that allow your buyers to easily find the parts that fit their vehicle.

Step 5: Publish your products to Shopify

Once your catalog meets the requirements, you can publish to Shopify. You can publish up to 200 products at a time directly in PartsPal, or publish in bulk via CSV.
