GCodes (Global Part Codes) are the source of truth for physical parts. Parts linked to GCodes will inherit fitment and updates from the GCodes.

Frequently asked questions
Can I link my part to a GCode by searching for an aftermarket part instead of an OEM part linked to a GCode?
No, you can only link your part by searching for an OEM part
If I link an aftermarket part to a GCode, will all the cross-references of the aftermarket part be linked to the GCode too?
No, only that part will be linked
What are the differences between cross-references vs GCodes? Why should I add cross-references?
Unlike GCodes, a part wouldn’t inherit any information from its cross-references. It is still worth adding cross-references as it will increase SEO/searchability.
Why was my OEM part number already linked with a GCode?
If you sell OEM parts, your part number may already automatically be linked to a GCode.
