Repair App Updates 12 June 2025

Step-by-step instructions on how to use the updated features in the Repair App

This guide covers:

(1) Improved Diagram Part Display

(2) Improved Parts Cart Display

(3) Split Basket Delivery Date Improvements

(4) Supply Basket Improvements

(5) Improved Diagram Layout (ongoing focus, rolling out gradually)

(6) Partly Helper Sidebar Notifications

  1. Improved Diagram Part Display:

'Make it easier for me to select the right, part with the correct position, on the diagrams'

    - Click on a part in the list and it will highlight the part in blue on the diagram.
    - Click on a part in the diagram and it will scroll to and highlight that part in the categorised list.

Similarly, if you select a part in the list, it will highlight the part in green on the diagram.

Tip: You can now filter parts by Left or Right position at the top of the parts list. This helps you quickly narrow down parts to just one side of the vehicle, reducing time spent scrolling and avoiding errors from selecting a part on the wrong side. It's especially helpful when diagrams contain mirrored or symmetrical components.

Quickly Add Left/Right Parts with One Click:
When you double-click a part on the diagram, it will add the part to your cart based on your Left/Right filter selection (see image below):

Left or Right selected → adds that specific side only

Both selected → adds both left and right parts at once

    How to use this:

Set the Left/Right filter to match the damage on the vehicle. That way, you don’t need to choose the side for each part individually, just double-click to add the correct one.

This is to help reduce any guesswork when identifying and selecting parts and makes navigation seamless between the list and the diagram.

  2. Improved Parts Cart Display:

'The new Parts Cart covers my entire screen when I open up the Estimate page'

When you load the Diagram page, the Parts Cart will now appear toward the bottom of the screen, rather than covering the diagram.
This allows you to keep an eye on your selected parts while still being able to navigate the diagram easily.

  3. Split Basket Delivery Date Improvements:

'Split Baskets Delivery Date defaults to the longest delivery date, causing confusion.'

    • Individual delivery Dates: Each supplier will now default to their own specific delivery date. Full control and transparency over the order.

  4. Supply Basket Improvements

'Make it easier to see part information and responses from Suppliers, especially when they add important details in notes'

    • The Part Grade will be visible on the Basket, making it easier to make a supply decision.
    • You can now easily see Notes from your Suppliers when they provide important delivery updates and part information to consider.

  5. Improved Diagram Layouts (Ongoing Focus) More Intuitive, Vehicle-Aligned Grouping

'It takes too long to use diagrams to find parts for bigger jobs'

We’re in the process of updating how diagram categories are structured in the Repair App to better reflect the front-to-back order of a vehicle.

These improvements are based on your feedback and aim to make estimating more intuitive, especially when matching damage patterns. You will start seeing these improvements gradually over time, and the most noticeable improvements include:

    • Nose cut and front cut are now combined
    • Category and area order (e.g. Front, Mid, Rear, Cabin) now follows the natural vehicle layout, matching light-to-heavy collision zones
    • Grouped part types (e.g. Bumper & Grille, ADAS, Lights) are also now ordered front to back
    • Underbody components (e.g. suspension, braking) are grouped by typical damage flow, not separated by system

  6. Partly Helper Sidebar Notifications

'Can we get notifications in the app instead of only relying on emails that could get lost when busy?'

The Partly Helper Sidebar will now include in-app notifications so you never miss a key update. The initial three types of notifications you will see are:

    • Get in-app alerts for key updates. Initially, you’ll see three types of notifications:
    • ✅ Order confirmed
    • 💬 Supplier replied to pricing
    • ❌ Supplier cancelled order
    •  Click to go straight to the job.
    • 📭 Hover to mark as read.

    Here’s how it works:

    • A blue indicator will appear on the sidebar when there are new updates to action.
    • Click a notification to jump straight to the relevant Job.
    • Hover over a notification to mark it as read, if you've seen it.

No more juggling tabs or worrying about missed emails, just check your Notification Centre in the Helper Sidebar for the latest on your orders and requests.

These changes don’t alter how you use the Repair App day-to-day, but they’re part of our ongoing effort to make Partly easier and faster to use, based on your valuable feedback!
