Selecting Parts via Diagrams
The following view is what a user will see when beginning part selection.
To simplify this selection process, Partly provides:
Search functionality, vehicle assembly cuts, assembly categories and potential “part recommendations”.
Partly’s parts interpretation page is aimed to be more intuitive and space-efficient.
Features include:
Selectable assemblies, categories, typeahead search and hot key navigation
Selectable assemblies are a feature Partly has used to simplify part selection. Click the assembly “Nose” to expand the alternative options
The categories can be used to zero in on the area and part selection.
Click “Select category” to expand the options. The user will be taken to the applicable diagrams for that category.
Applicable diagrams will display based on the user’s category selection.
Category Selected: “Front Bumper & Grille”
Click any of the previewed diagrams to begin your part selection process.
To select a part on a diagram:
Single-click any of the identified parts highlighted in purple on the diagram.
After clicking on the chosen “part” (Bumper Cover):
A part name will appear to the right of the screen.
To add a part:
After selecting the chosen “part” (Bumper Cover), click the circle present by the part name on the right of the screen.
This will update to a blue tick and “Added” will highlight in the lower right.
To quickly alternate between diagrams:
Use the options “Prev diagram” or “Next diagram” in the top left.
Occasionally, there may be a related diagram:
Click any of the parts identified in “yellow”.
When selected a related diagram link will appear to the right of the screen.
When the related diagram link is clicked:
The user will be directed to the alternative diagram as seen below for
“Front Bumper & Bumper Stay”
Reaching the start or end of the diagram list:
If a user reaches the end of a diagram list there will be an option to navigate to the next category or previous category if applicable.
