Partly response to iBodyShop
11 December 2025
We are aware that iBodyShop has recently circulated statements about Partly and the tools some repairers choose to use alongside iBodyShop. Several of these statements are incorrect, have caused unnecessary concern for repairers, and require clarification.
1. Your data is safe and always under your control
Partly does not access, store, or process any iBodyShop data - only the information you deliberately choose to copy or enter into Partly.
- No background data extraction
- No hidden data collection
- No automated access to your iBodyShop account
- Partly is ISO 27001 certified and uses industry-standard security controls. Your data is protected to the same standard required by insurers and major enterprise partners.
2. The Partly Helper Sidebar used by some repairers does not access anything you do not explicitly provide
This tool only assist repairers in moving information you already use - the same information you would need to copy manually to do the job. This tool is not:
- a bot,
- nor an automated scraping tool
Furthermore, it does not:
- bypass iBodyShop’s systems, or
- extract any additional information
Every action is initiated by the repairer.
Every piece of data moving between systems is visible in your browser logs.
3. iBodyShop has previously issued statements that were inaccurate and subsequently withdrawn
In September 2025, iBodyShop displayed statements within their software suggesting that using Partly’s tools created data-security risks. These claims were formally challenged, and iBodyShop removed the statements shortly after.
4. Repairers should not be penalised for using their own tools
Some repairers have reported being blocked from accessing iBodyShop solely because a browser extension was installed. This is not related to data security and has the effect of restricting a repairer’s ability to access their own account and data. Partly opposes any behaviour that may limit repairers’ choice or restrict competition.
5. Our focus remains supporting repairers
We will always:
- Protect your data,
- Support your workflow,
- Provide transparency,
- Defend our users from misinformation,
- Be open infrastructure - we'll help you by integrating with whatever tools you want to use.
If you have concerns or encounter any messages from iBodyShop that cause confusion or restrict your access, please contact us directly. We will support you and ensure you have the correct information.
