Partly Sidebar Troubleshooting Guide
Here are a list of potential error messages you may encounter while using the Partly Sidebar. Please don’t hesitate to contact Partly Helpdesk if you run into any of these, and we will help you resolve them as soon as possible.

Manually added parts to BMS are lost
Previously removed parts aren't syncing
Issue the job in your BMS
Common reasons for the sync failing is when the user has not yet issued the job in the BMS before loading the Partly Sidebar. To issue the job in your BMS, navigate to the Estimate -> at the Bottom left -> Hit the Issue Job button -> Standard -> Continue to load your job in the Sidebar.
“Job Out Of Scope”
The selected estimate is out of scope currently for using the Partly Repair App. This could be because:
- The Debtor/Insurer assigned to this estimate is not supported
- The vehicle Make is not currently supported
- The vehicle information is missing a plate number
Please check the estimate information before trying again, or contact helpdesk@partly.com for more information.
“Job In Draft State”
The selected estimate is missing information required for Partly to continue. Please verify that the estimate Debtor fields, Vehicle fields, and estimate number are properly filled out before trying again.
“Job Copy Error”
There is an issue with the Partly Sidebar extension configuration for your browser. To fix this, there are a few troubleshooting options:
- Verify your Sidebar extension configuration has proper permissions, right click the Sidebar extension icon, select “Manage extension”, and ensure “Site Access” is set to “All sites”
- Log out of the Sidebar and log back in
- Restart your browser, sometimes keeping a browser open for too long (~days) can interfere with normal operations, not just for the Sidebar!
- As a last resort, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Partly Sidebar
Images aren’t syncing
For issues with Image Sync, please contact Partly support for help.
Manually added parts to BMS are lost
The Partly Sidebar parts & order sync is designed to only copy Partly data into your BMS. In the unlikely event that this alters any manually added parts, please contact Partly support for assistance.
Previously removed parts aren't syncing
If you remove a part from your estimate and later decide to add it back, the BMS prevents the Sidebar from syncing that part a second time. In these cases, you’ll need to re-add the part directly in your BMS and then raise the PO manually.
Supplier not mapped ⚠️
The supplier you have ordered from is not mapped properly to a supplier in your BMS. As a reminder, your organisation controls the suppliers available for invoicing within your BMS, but this may not match exactly to suppliers the Partly platform offers. This mismatch could be for a few reasons:
- This is a new supplier to the Partly platform and hasn’t been linked to your corresponding BMS supplier
- This supplier does not exist in your BMS
- This supplier is not matched to the correct supplier in your BMS
In all cases, contact Partly support is the fastest way to resolve the issue. If the supplier does not exist in your BMS, however, you will also need to take action to either create the supplier or manage via your internal processes for one-off or guest suppliers.

There is currently an issue with Partly service, your internet connection, or your BMS service. Please try again later or contact Partly support.
